Secret To Losing Weight Fast

The secret of losing weight is changing your diet, this is a step that so many people who are seeking weight loss find hard to take, but you must if you are serious about losing that belly-fat. In Nigeria, there are so any local foods that can be used to lose weight. The Loyola University Health System conducted a study on Obesity in September 2008, in that publication, it was revealed that most Nigerian women weighed 55 pounds less than most Chicago women, notwithstanding the fact that both parties burned the same amount of calories daily. Researchers believe that this is as a result of most Nigerian foods containing unprocessed ingredients.

Keep Close Watch on Your Calorie Intake
This simply means you have to watch what you take in; healthy meals does not warrant weight loss. If your meals contain high level of calories, you will still be gaining weight even though you are eating healthy. The size of your intake matters a lot to what happens to your body, instead of consuming that heavily packed meal served before you in most Nigerian restaurant, why not tell them exactly the portion required by your body, the rest could be reserved for a later time.

Fruits; Best For You
In my earlier post, I made mentioned of the kinds of fruits suitable for weight loss, if you missed it, read it here ==> Best Fruits in Nigeria that Help Weight Loss. There are common Nigerian fruits that are very good in weight loss, they can actually form an important part of your local menu, adding them to your diet gives your body many vital minerals and vitamins. These fruits go a long way to regulate your digestive system because they contain lots of fiber. Few of the examples are Mango, Watermelon, Paw-paw, Pear, etc.

Nigerian Foods To Avoid
There are so many Nigerian foods that contains very high level of carbohydrates. Examples are cassava which is used to produce foods like garri and akpu, yam either eaten directly, as pounded yam or amala. The worst being that the soup used for these foods are prepared with heavy helping of palm oil, which has a high calorie value. As much as you can and want to lose weight or belly-fat, avoid these foods, especially in large portion and or at late hours.

Chose The Right Kind of Food

Choose what is good for your body not what is trending, foods like beans, moi-moi and cowpeas are good choices for weight loss, they are made entirely from unprocessed ingredients and contain high level of protein. Vegetables such as ugwu, spinach, ewedu, utazi leaves and okro are best for weight loss, make them part of your diet.

To your weight loss success!
